About L'Atelier Brouillard

L'Atelier Brouillard is an independent site about rebuildable vaping, with English pages written for readers in the United Kingdom. Resistance wire, coil builds, wicking, RTAs and the tools that go with them, we follow everything that happens on the bench between opening a spool of wire and the first puff.

One sheet, one move at a time

Every piece is laid out like a workshop sheet. The kit you need comes first, then the steps in the order you carry them out, with the checks to make before moving on. When a calculation is involved, such as how much wire a coil takes, we give the formula and a tool so you can work it out yourself.

Who runs the bench

The build notes are written by Jeanne Loubet, who runs the bench at L'Atelier Brouillard. Her approach is to describe a build in the order it is made, and to say plainly when a step takes some practice before it becomes second nature.

Safety first

Rebuilding means knowing the resistance of your build and the limits of your batteries. Our notes flag those points whenever they matter, and never replace the manual that came with your kit.

UK readers

Products sold in the UK follow the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, which cap nicotine e-liquid strength at 20 mg/ml and tank capacity at 2 ml, so figures quoted for other markets may not match what is on sale here.
